Buying Truck Accessories Online!

Do you buy accessories for your truck online? My 1995 Chevy badly needs some sprucing up, before the intended sale. And just thought that adding a few attractive gadgets will do the trick, and embelish the otherwise fine piece of a machinery!

How to repair cracks in a hard tonneau cover?

My problem is, that after the summer sun, my 3 y.o. hard tonneau developed a network of cracks. They look like being surface cracks only, although at the rear end two splits appeared, each about one eight of an inch deep.

Do auto accesssories increase value of your vehicle?

Have been talking with my mate recently, and he said that splashing all those big monies on car accessories, especially before intended sale, was a total waste.

Removing dirt from soft tonneau covers.

Does anyone know how to remove dirt from soft tonneau covers?
We've two pick-ups (Ford and Dodge) both fitted with soft tonneaus. Because they are often parked under the trees, they are covered in spots of birds droppings and some kind of sap.

Are truck parts from salvage yards any good?

Do you buy truck parts from salvage yards? I need some truck parts for my International 4300. Particularly a mid roof and parts for FS-SYNCR 6sp. transmission. Also need two tires 22.5 and a pair of heated mirrors. I know I can get these parts from most International dealers, but don't really need them new. The truck has already 350,000 miles and I don't want to invest much in it.

Truck owners are spending more on accessories, than on parts!

Observing some truck drivers, and the way they treat their vehicles, you could be forgiven for thinking that they value the image their truck presents more than its safety level and dependability.
I'm not talking about heavy semis, lories, B-doubles and heavy cargo vehicles.

Toneau covers get stolen!

Last evening my brand new extang toneau was gone.
Just parked my Chevy and went to buy some groceries. Came back 20 min later, my toneau was gone. Somebody released the clamps, and all $270 of my vinyl tarp is no more.
Now, I'm wondering does it make sense to buy another soft one, or should I go for the hard type. About $1k more expensive, and still somebody can always scratch it...
